Drake hopped on Instagram to announce details regarding his follow-up single.

Murda Beatz, giving his followers inside access to his studio suite, opened up his dwelling to show a keyboard and a screen displaying an open file on FL Studio 12, the program he uses to generate his trademark sound, nothing more nothing less. Drake then pulls up unexpectedly with fodder for the rumor mill.
“New single dropping soon produced by Chef Murda” he posted in the scrolling comment section. The screenshot was captured by a few assiduous followers. No announcement has followed. In the spirit of building anticipation, like his and Kanye’s retreat to Wyoming, we may not hear another sound until the time has come. The window of time in which these notifications become news items makes for a short-lived climate of consumption. If he’s going to drop expect it soon.
Murda Beatz produced a few tracks off of More Life, including the platinum selling “Portland” along with fellow producer Cubeatz. Drake hopped on N.E.R.D’s “Lemon,” and is running on fumes created by spot appearances and the success of “God’s Plan” which has become more than a song or video, fast becoming a model for philanthropy in an age of self-interest. Expect the drop any minute now.
