It looks like White Boy Rick will be released from prison way sooner than expected.
The notorious drug dealer, who made history as the youngest informant in FBI History at just age 14, will now be released from prison in Florida five months sooner than his original release date.
Rick’s original release date was April 20 2021, but it was recently moved up, taking into account the “amount of gain time accrued during his sentence.”
White Boy Rick, real name Richard Wershe Jr., was arrested in 1987 in Detroit with eight kilos of cocaine, amounting to nearly $30,000.
Later, he was convicted of possession with intent to deliver over 650 grams of coke and sentenced to life in prison.
After a long court battle, White Boy Rick was finally paroled and released in 2017, but he was sent back to prison after being convicted for being a broker in a stolen car ring which operated out of Miami, Florida.
Rick’s life in Detroit was turned into a film in 2018 titled “White Boy Rick” starring Matthew McConaughey, Richie Merritt and “Atlanta’s” Brian Tyree.
His release date could come even sooner if he continues to show good behavior behind bars.
