Sophia Grace – Why U Mad

– Why U Mad – has released her music video for her catchy new track “Why U Mad!”

If you recall, she and her cousin Rosie (aka & Rosie) shot to fame back in 2011 after their cover of Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Bass” went viral and they appeared on The Ellen Show.

In “Why U Mad,” Sophia Grace, now 14, takes on her haters, addressing online bullying and her personal experience with it.

“Having been in the spotlight since I was very young, I know all about the negative comments and abuse you get from people online,” she said in a statement. “‘Why U Mad’ is my message to those people, and to anyone who’s experienced anything similar – Hold your head up high, be proud of who you are, and don’t let the bullies get you down.”

“Don’t hate on the happy / it’s never gonna work / loving yourself should always come first,” she sings.

The track marks Sophia Grace‘s third single, following “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun” and “Best Friends.”
